Hola:
Quisiera saber como es posible hacer que los anuncios nuevos se depositen arriba y no abajo de los anuncios antiguos.
Estoy utilizando la funcion ninja_annc_display_all();

Hello
I wonder how it is possible to make new announcements are placed above and not below the old announcements.
I am using the function ninja_annc_display_all ();

Thanks

Shame - great idea, but on a new WP3.1 site clicking the add link button doesn't do anything (FF and Chrome).
Using a child theme of Prototype 0.1.1 by Justin Tadlock...
Since I want the announcement (it appears on every page) to go to a full article and have end user able to edit the announcement and target then it's unfortunately pretty useless for the purpose.

1. concerned that the admin panel sits in Settings - means editor must have full access to WP - why not put it under posts/pages/comments?

2. why not have the option to link the announcement to page/post etc within the announcement editor?

3. can't switch the editor to HTML to fix by hand...

4. If you click "Ignore dates" you lose the ability to change them i.e. unclicking "Ignore dates" leaves the entry fields disabled...

The scheduling would have been nice, but non-essential. Any ideas for an alternative? Bearing in mind:
1. The same linked message should appear on all pages
2. There should be a central place to edit the message/link (so not a custom field...)
3. Cannot use a post excerpt since that's already used for a short version on a "news & events" page

ps that problem just got solved. My fault entirely! Me trying to be far too clever than i really am with some CSS!

However i do have another problem which is shown below. the message now reads >>>>>>>>>>

Click Here to Read What Landlords are Saying About Our Unique and Affordable Range of Services
[close]

How do i get rid of the active [close] link which seems to have appeared without an invitation.

Again thank you for this guys!

Kind Rgds

Hi there
just found this great plug in and want to add it to our portfolio of tools. In testing it on a live property site we wanted to add the message above the site;s header as follows

"Click Here to Read What Landlords are Saying About Our Unique and Affordable Range of Services"

So we entered the message in the ninja editor and used the editors link icon to set an URL for the 'click here' words.

However when the message is displayed the words that have been selected for a click through simply dissappear from the message leaving ....

"to Read What Landlords are Saying About Our Unique and Affordable Range of Services"
(note missing words are the link enabled words 'click here')

Same problem when sidebar widget option is chosen

Any ideas please ?

Rgds

Hi,

I just installed ninja announcements and thought it was working great... until I encountered this error in the admin panel:

When I am editing or creating a new post and go to click on some of the buttons, they do not work right.

Forgive my lack of technospeak....

The line above the post body -- where its says Upload/Insert and has buttons for uploading media, audio files etc <-- this is where the problem is.

When I click, for example, the insert media button, it normally opens in a pseudo window on top of my screen <- i'm not sure what the term is for that, but it's the same as what is done with lightbox and photos.

Anyway, since installing your plugin, clicking those buttons overwrites the whole window, which means I can't insert something into the post because the post page is gone.

I've been on version 3.0, just updated to 3.03 and it is still occurring. When I deactivate Ninja Announcements, it works correctly.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hey,
Something I encounter during update of the plugin on wordpress 3.0.3.
After the update, the plugin stopped working and crashed the site. I had to remove the plugin completely to put the site up again.

It's a Fatal Error and this is what i got:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 2728 is not allowed to access /tmp owned by uid 0 in /home/brisbani/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ninja-announcements/ninja_annc.php on line 67

i'm taking the time writing this to you cause I think you did great job with it and it's a valuable plugin.
speak soon,

Hey Jamie,

I wasn't able to recreate your problem, but I'm not using the Thesis framework. I think that the problem may lie in your Thesis hook. A simple test would be to do something like this:

function test_function() {
echo "Hello world!!!";
}
add_action('thesis_hook_header', 'test_function');

Test that out and let me know what the results are. If you are able to see the "Hello world!!!" on your page, then your hook is working properly and we can do some more work with it.

If I choose the "manual " option then attempt to activate an announcement, the announcement does not become activated. The announcement does appear if I try the built-in option to place the announcement in the header. However, I need to use the "manual option". Is there a bug preventing the manual option from working?

Also, this is the code I'm attempting to use to embed announcements inside WordPress. Does it look ok?

function go_totally_ninja() {
if (function_exists('ninja_annc_display')) {
ninja_annc_display(2);
}
}
add_action('thesis_hook_header', 'go_totally_ninja');

Thanks,
